There are a variety of student groups to get involved with here at the University of Toronto here are a few that may be of interest
 

Native Students' Association

The Native Students Association (NSA) is a student-run initiative whose mandate includes the following:

  • The Native Students’ Association (NSA) is committed to the spiritual, physical, emotional and mental well-being of the Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) student body.
  • The NSA is committed to forging partnerships and community ties with non-Aboriginal student organizations within the University of Toronto.
  • The NSA recognizes the need to preserve and protect our Indigenous heritages and distinct cultures through the use of tradition, teachings, language and celebration.

Indigenous Education Network

The Indigenous Education Network (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education ) is a self-determining Aboriginal student association within OISE/UT. The IEN provides an Aboriginal presence at OISE/UT, and a forum for discussion and action on issues relating to Aboriginal education and research. It supports students and their study interests in Aboriginal education; promotes Aboriginal education; advances education research on Aboriginal issues; and actively encourages the development of Aboriginal curriculum. The IEN supports students studying Aboriginal education by promoting, advancing and encouraging the development of Aboriginal curriculum and research.
 

Aboriginal Law Student (Faculty of Law)

The Aboriginal Law Students' Association at the Faculty of Law is an active circle of students from many different Aboriginal cultures. It provides a social support mechanism for Aboriginal law students, along with promoting awareness about Aboriginal issues, and the procurement of funding for special professional and educational opportunities.

Supporting Aboriginal Graduate Enhancement (SAGE)

Supporting Aboriginal Graduate Enhancement (SAGE) is a peer-based cross-university educational initiative that intends to build community networks, provide ongoing support and quickly increase the number of Ph.D./Ed.D. and Masters credentialed First Nations, Métis, Inuit Aboriginal and Indigenous scholars across Ontario.
